about me

Art has the power to evoke emotion and magically transform people. We need an apt space to bring forth our true selves, to enhance and evolve our artistic practice.

A self-taught visual artist, Isha Nagar completed her Bachelors in Fashion Communication from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi in 2010. She experiments with various visual art forms like watercolour, charcoal, oil to capture the essence of life and nature.

In 2014, she started her own illustration based venture, Tathya and participated in Comic Con 2016-2018. Since 2015, she has been a part of Saatchi Art collections. More often than not, she collaborates with other artists to expand her own dimensions of art. She also loves creating illustrations for children's picture books, chapter books and YA readers. Her inspirations include René Magritte, Frida Kahlo, André Breton, Amrita Sher-Gil, Marjane Satrapi, Haruki Murakami, among others.

She has worked on some award-winning books like the The Ghost of Malabar, Mini SeriesV for VaccineBlue Is Like Blue and many more. Recently, one of her artworks made it to the Superfine Art Fair in Los Angeles, and she is also the winner of the Talent Art Prize 2023 by Teravarna Art Gallery, USA.

For more than a decade, she has worked with well-known clients like Penguin Random House, Dorling Kindersley, HarperCollins India, PHFI, Herbalife and many independent design studios.

She finds inspiration in nature—a rainy day, a cup of hot steaming coffee and a bag full of paints is all she needs to be the best version of her creative self. She loves to collaborate with other creatives and work on interesting projects. Her IG handle is @isha.p.nagar. You can connect on email at ishanagar.work@gmail.com.
